Nikolay Petkov Petkov is a PhD student in Industrial Technologies and Telecommunications at the Miguel Hernández University of Elche (UMH), Spain. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Technologies (2021) and a Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering (2025), specializing in Biomedical Devices and Biomodels, both from the University of Alicante (UA). In addition to his engineering background, he has strong clinical foundations as a Higher Technician in Clinical Diagnostic Laboratory (2014). Currently, he is a researcher at the Brain-Machine Interface Systems Lab (BMIsLab), where his research focuses on the development of Spinal-Muscular-Machine Interfaces (SMMI). Deeply passionate about the synergy between cutting-edge technology and healthcare, his work centers on real-time muscle fatigue assessment and autonomic state monitoring to enhance robotic-assisted neurorehabilitation. |
